Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Snap & Store is a mobile app made by Deploy LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what the app collects, what it doesn't, and how that data is used.

Short version

Snap & Store keeps your box catalog on your phone. We don't run servers that store your photos, videos, voice memos, item lists, or box names. We don't have user accounts. We collect anonymous usage statistics (which features get used) to improve the app — never the contents of your boxes. We don't sell or share your data.

What stays on your device

Everything you create in the app — box numbers, three-word names, location notes, photos, videos, voice memos, item lists, transcripts, and summaries — is stored in a local database and a local media folder on your phone. None of it is uploaded to a Deploy LLC server. If you uninstall Snap & Store, the operating system removes that data along with the app.

On-device processing

When you record a box, the app:

  • Runs object detection on the video frames to suggest item names.
  • Runs speech-to-text on your voice memo to transcribe what you said.

Both models are bundled with the app and run entirely on your device. Your photos, video, audio, and transcripts are not sent to any external AI service.

Permissions we request

  • Camera — to record a video of a box's contents and to scan the QR sticker on each box.
  • Microphone — to record an optional voice memo describing the contents.

We do not request access to your photo library, contacts, location, calendar, health data, or any other category of device data.

Location

When you tag a box with a storage location (for example "Garage" or "Closet"), that is text you type yourself. The app does not read GPS, IP-based location, or any other geolocation source.

Subscriptions

Snap & Store offers an optional paid subscription ("Snap & Store Unlimited"). Subscriptions are processed entirely by the Apple App Store (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android). We never see your payment information.

To verify subscription status we use RevenueCat. When you open the app, RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app-user ID and the subscription receipt from the App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, photos, voice memos, or anything else you store in the app.

Analytics and tracking

The app collects anonymous usage statistics using Mixpanel so we can understand which features are used and improve the app. What is sent: a randomly generated anonymous identifier, the name of the action (for example "box created" or "labels printed"), and basic device information such as device model, operating system version, and app version.

What is never sent: your photos, videos, voice memos, transcripts, item names, box names, search text, or location. IP-based geolocation is disabled. There is no advertising tracking, no cross-app tracking, and no session recording.

Data sharing

We share data only with the two service providers named in this policy — RevenueCat for subscription status and Mixpanel for anonymous usage statistics — and only as described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone for marketing or any other purpose. The contents of your boxes never leave your phone.

Your control

Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly:

  • View or edit any box, item, or media entry from inside the app.
  • Delete any box, item, or media entry from inside the app.
  • Delete everything by uninstalling the app.

Changes

If we materially change how Snap & Store handles data — for example, if we add an optional cloud-sync feature in the future — we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date above.
